Scope of Work
- Supply and Installation of External (603 MT) and Internal (4S02 MT) Post tensioning System with Consortium.
PT STRAND SPEC (First time in India)
- External: 15.2 mm dia, seven wire low relaxation Galvanized coated, grease or wax filled with coextruded HDPE sheathing strands (19DP15, 27DP15, 12DP15).
- Internal: 15.2 mm dia, seven wire epoxy coated (flow filled type) strands with relaxation 6.5% (19DP15, 15DP15, 12DP15).
Asia's longest marine bridge Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) is about 22 kms long, 6 lane bridge across Mumbai harbor connecting Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. The bridge will begin in Sewri and cross Thane Creek and terminate in Chirle village, near Nhava Sheva. The project will be constructed in three sections.
Package 1 and 3 awarded to L&T and IHI Consortium. Package 1 starts from Sewri to Thane Creek (CH 0+0 to CH 10+380) and Package 3 consists bridge portion on lad towards Chirle (CH 18+187 to CH 21+800). PC Box Girder (Segmental Type Bridge) with 50-60 m span which is typically applied on marine via duct.
Internal bonded & external unbonded Post Tensioning system shall be used in the super structure of bridge. The project comprises of total of 264 spans, each typical span is 60 m long with 15 m wide Deck and 3.85 m constant depth and each span consists of 19 Segments.
